Career Day
To get an idea of the opportunities in a future career, the Career Committee organizes a Career Day every two years, where companies and institutions talk about career opportunities through pitches, presentations, company stands, and/or workshops. We also give alumni (former students) the opportunity to share insights about their own career paths.

Excursions
For each year group in both the bachelor's and master's programs, a specific excursion is organized.

• The first-year excursion takes place every year at a pharmaceutical company near Leiden.
• For the second year, an excursion is organized during the Diesweek.
• Third-year students get the chance to explore the pharmaceutical world abroad during the International Excursion (BUEX).
• For master's students, two excursions are organized: one for Bio-Pharmaceutical Sciences (BPS) students and one for Pharmacy students.

Lunch Lectures
During these lectures, an interesting speaker is invited to talk about a current topic or research. The lunch is provided by the Sports and Education Committee (SpoEd) and is always free of charge. Ten lunch lectures are held each year.

Parents' Day
Every year, a Parents' Day is organized. On this day, parents of first-year students get the chance to meet the program, the LACDR, and the student association. They experience what it’s like to be a BFW student.

Symposia
Each year, two scientific symposia are organized by „Aesculapius”, namely the Dies Symposium and the Afternoon Symposium. Topics that are underrepresented during the study are addressed by experts here.

„Aesculapius” Weekend
At the end of the year, a weekend is also organized for all members. This weekend is all about socializing and includes two parties, a cantus, a games afternoon, and much more.

Culinary Activities
In recent years, our association has also had a culinary committee. This committee is responsible for a number of fun food and drink-related activities, with the highlight of the year being the now beloved end-of-year dinner.

Third Tuesday Drinks
Every month, there is a ‘Third Tuesday Drinks’ (DDB) at Café ‘De Kroeg’. The drinks have been very well attended in recent years and are a fun way to meet and interact with each other. The first drink is always on the association.

Anniversary Week
Every year, the association’s anniversary is celebrated with a week full of activities. The week includes a reception, a symposium, a party, a cultural activity, an excursion, a sports activity, and the perfect closing event, a gala dinner.

First-Year Activities
Many fun activities are organized for first-year students, such as the First-Year Weekend, a pizza movie night, a pub quiz, and of course, the activities organized by the First-Year Committee Panacea.

Charity Activities
The Charity Committee organizes various activities throughout the year (lunches, auctions, parties, etc.) to raise money for a specific cause.

Master's Activities
Master's students also receive extra attention. Special drinks, barbecues, social activities, and excursions are organized for them. There are often additional activities for Pharmacy students as well. For example, last year, an Evening Symposium and Industry Interest Evening were organized.

Student-Staff Drinks
To promote contact between the staff members of the LACDR and the students, a Student-Staff Drinks event is organized. During this event, a pub quiz is held, where various teams made up of students and staff compete for the title.

Sports Activities
In addition to lunch lectures, the SpoEd also organizes sports activities to keep our members active and healthy. Last year, a crazy 20, a kickboxing clinic, and a full-body workout were organized.

Our association magazine provides interesting information about activities, members, and other news items.

Book Service
We offer study books at a reduced rate.
