L.P.V.D. 'Aphrodite'
Dear Members,
After the founding of L.P.H.D. 'Don Durk' and L.P.H.D. 'Panoramix', it was time for a ladies' dispute within L.P.S.V. „Aesculapius” – and so it happened! On the 30th of January, 2012, the Leydsch Pharmaceutical Women’s Dispute 'Aphrodite' was founded: a group of lovely, stunning, and, most importantly, fun girls who love to have a good time. Every two weeks on Wednesdays, we Aphrodites gather together. Our activities range from a cozy movie night to a creative evening with tea, but we often trade that tea for a beer at the pub or a half-liter Leo during an intense game of flunkyball. We are up for anything!
In addition, we have a number of annual activities, namely: a summer and winter weekend getaway, a date dinner, the Tour de Chambre, and a group dinner. During our summer and winter weekends, we swap Leiden for a different destination, and sometimes we even cross the border. Each year, the youngest group of 'Aphrodite' also organizes a fantastic party where everyone is welcome!
L.P.V.D. 'Aphrodite' is the only women’s dispute among the four disputes within L.P.S.V. „Aesculapius,” and our membership continues to grow. Each year, we welcome 4 to 7 new Aphrodites into our dispute. We currently have girls in both the Bachelor and Master’s programs in Bio-Pharmaceutical Sciences and Pharmacy, as well as girls who have pursued other fields such as Biomedical Sciences. Additionally, we have many alumni who still keep in touch and meet up regularly.
