L.P.H.D. 'Panoramix'
Dear members of L.P.S.V. „Aesculapius”, dear reader,
Several years ago, on the 15th of March, 2011, our beautiful association had the honor of celebrating the founding of the Leydsch Pharmaceutical Gentlemen’s Dispute (L.P.H.D.) ‘Panoramix’.
It all started with a small group of enthusiasts full of passion, ardor, and a fiery love for craft beer and meat. We have since grown into a large, active, close-knit group of friends who enjoy a good drink and indulge in the finer pleasures of life. Every Wednesday, we Panoramics gather for a fun drink or a cozy evening at our local pub, Lemmy's, to enjoy craft beers from all over the world. Very occasionally, yes, it’s true, we even engage in a bit of a sporting activity.
Last year, our dispute had the pleasure of welcoming a wonderful group of seven members. Known as the ‘Loebas’ group, they are a bunch of wild individuals with a lot of eccentric ideas. They know how to turn any seemingly normal outing into a wild adventure. They’ve certainly found their camaraderie, and that was much needed, as they still had the first edition of the Winter Weekend ahead of them. Held somewhere in beautiful Drenthe, they had the opportunity to bond deeply with the dispute and prove themselves worthy before being gifted a tie.
As of 2024, we have secured the existence of our wonderful dispute by welcoming six new members. We are extremely happy with this growth, made possible by an incredible Gallian gathering, and we’ve also sent this group on an adventure to prove their worthiness.
Of course, beyond these groups, there is also a strong bond between us Panoramics. We eat together before our activities and frequently attend “Aesculapius” parties. In addition, we enjoy musical events, whether it’s Mehmet Polat with his Arabic jazz or Partiboi69 at ADE, L.P.H.D. ‘Panoramix’ is truly versatile.
To help get through the day, Panoramics like to satisfy their hunger with a good piece of meat. During barbecues, dinners, and of course, the infamous spare rib dinner, members compete for eternal glory, honor, and a glorious engraving on our spare rib trophy.
Every year, Panoramix also pushes its boundaries abroad. In 2024, we traveled with a large delegation to beautiful Sicily. There, we honored the bountiful lifestyle we strive for, just as the ancient Gauls did. We enjoyed local specialties like delicious swordfish pasta and plenty of wine. Even though the Italians aren’t too fond of beer, we made sure to enjoy some golden brews as well. We also seized the opportunity to embark on an impressive expedition, bravely conquering the majestic Mount Etna. After plenty of culture, nature, and full bellies, we returned with high anticipation for our next summer trip, which will take us to sunny Spain in the summer of 2025.
For all members of „Aesculapius,” ‘Panoramix’ organizes an open event every year where anyone can get to know our beautiful dispute. In past years, this has included the beer pong tournament, where everyone can enjoy a fun game and a refreshing glass of spa water. Additionally, L.P.H.D. ‘Panoramix’ traditionally organizes thrilling events each year in collaboration with L.P.V.D. ‘Aphrodite,’ such as the Mug Party, the Aphroramix Cantus, and the already introduced Sinterkerst and New Year’s Eve parties.
