CHDR

Het CHDR

Het CHDR, Centre for Human Drug Research, is een zogenaamde CRO (Clinical Research Organisation) die zich specialiseert in data-intensieve, vroegtijdige klinische studies. Kwaliteit staat hoog in het vaandel en daardoor kan veel hoge kwalitiet farmacodynamische en farmacokinetische data gegenereerd worden. Het CHDR heeft drie onderzoeksvelden waarin ze zich specialiseren, dat zijn het centraal zenuwstelsel, Internal Medicine en Nutraceuticals en Voeding. Het CHDR biedt een dynamische werkomgeving met een unieke, enthousiaste en open atmosfeer die wordt gecombineerd met veel professionaliteit en kwaliteit. Stage lopen bij het CHDR kan op verschillende punten in je studie, je kunt je Bachelorstage van 10 weken bij het CHDR doen maar ook ja masterstages kan je bij het CHDR lopen. Het stage programma richt zich op het vergaren van kennis en leren werken met de moderne technieken die binnen het CHDR gebruikt worden. Je doet dan mee aan een lopende studie die begeleid wordt door een team van professionals.  Het LACDR, Leiden Academic Centre for Drug Research, is het onderzoeksinstituut waaraan wij ons onderwijs krijgen. Dit is dan ook de plek waar het overgrote deel van de studenten de bachelorstage loopt. Echter kan je na de bachelor ook stage blijven lopen bij het LACDR, dit kan bij de bekende drie clusters:

Content of Assignment:

  • Assess the (global) competitive environment of DSPs portfolio by a detailed market analysis to identify key players and competitors.
  • Develop a business intelligence database of competitor and customer profiles
  • Create a demand & supply grid data overview.
  • The demand & supply grid captures the information of market players throughout the value chain. The goal is to structure all available information for the relevant products DSP is active in into one structured format, collect missing information (across functions and business units or via market research) and make a management summary.
  • Identify new market opportunities for current portfolio.
  • Marketing and (external) communication support.
  • Providing support for the Marketing & Sales team in practical aspects regarding DSPs external communication. One of the objectives is to further develop the value proposition of Drug Products. The basics values have been identified by the team but need to be further translated in benefits for customers. The goal is to create a PowerPoint format which will be included in the sales toolkit.
  • Build a strategic plan for new customers.
  • Based on the market analysis, supply and demand grid and DSPs value proposition, the task would be to determine DSPs position depending on the needs of the customer. By creating customer profiles (background, strategy, portfolio, global position etc.) DSP can tailor its strategic approach towards customers.

Job Overview: We are seeking undergraduate level first degree students who share our passion for using quantitative approaches to understand and impact complex drug discovery and development questions. The students will learn about the exciting breaking science of QSP, utilising mathematical systems models of disease to discover and develop novel medicines. They will work in close collaboration with Certara staff to help generate state-of-the-art QSP models for users in pharmaceutical R&D. The models will be designed in dialogue with the clients and developed with a view to creating user-friendly models that will inform drug development programs from discovery to regulatory filing.
